Story

Like many recent light gun games, Dino Stalker comes complete with a story wrapped round the gun totting action. Here you take the role of Lieutenant Mike Wired; a World War II pilot forced to eject from his craft during a dogfight with the enemy. The Atlantic Ocean covers a vast area, but you are fortunate enough to parachute onto an island wilderness. Things are not quite what they seem as a blinding flash of light produces strange flying creatures and subsequent items such as an unusual gun and communication device. On landing it soon becomes clear that this is no paradise isle, as strange creatures flourish in the jungle terrain, you face a battle to survive.

PeeturDCF's comments:

This is a part of the ill-received 'Gun Survivor' series. The other three games were loosely based on Resident Evil (known as Biohazard in Japan).

I think Capcom done an excellent job on Dino Stalker, in terms of the graphics and gameplay. The story (while considered non-canon) is actually closely related with Dino Crisis 2, as it features Pola and the voice of Dylan Morton. Also mentioned is the Noah's Ark Plan, which was brought up in Dino Crisis 2 as Dylan confronted a futuristic incarnation of himself.

Trivia:

Dino Stalker is the third installment in Capcom's Gun Survivor series (preceded by Resident Evil Survivor and Resident Evil Survivor 2 - Code: Veronica) Although the Gun Survivor games are an offshot of the Resident Evil series, Dino Stalker is the only game in the series not related to Resident Evil. It was followed by Resident Evil: Dead Aim.
